Eyðun is working at the salmon factory “ Bakkafrost “

The disaster

• On wednesday 10/11/2010 Eyðun started at work as usual

• then, suddenly like a flash, he felt a severe headache:

• “ It felt as if my head burst “.

• “ I got severe nausea and was very dizzy ”

At the hospital

• To hours later he arrived at the main hospital in Torshavn- transported by an ambulance

• primarily they gave him morphine but it didn’t reduce his pain.

Status 10/11/2010

• From his journal we read:

• “ we find reduced strength and sensitivity in left upper limb and left lower limb ”

• “ there is reduced sensitivity in the right half of face “

• ” when he is trying to walk, he is dragging his left leg behind him ”

Conclusion 11/11/2010

• The doctors conclusion: ” we fear that he has a cerebral infarction in the right hemisphere, that has given him a left- sided hemiparesis”.

• ” Eyðun has got a cerebral infarction in his right hemisphere ”.

Sensibilitytest made by ergotherapist 18/11/2010

• ” Eyðun has reduced sensitivity, both pain, surface sensitivity and temperature. He can feel these three stimulations on the left hand, but they are reduced compared to the right hand ”.

Conclusion from medical/ physio-logical conference 22/11/2010

• ” Eyðun has almost no strength in his left hand” and ” he must be caught or he will fall when trying to walk ”.

Conclusion from medical conference 12/01/2011

• “ The suspected brain changes would require an improved MRI scan in Denmark ( this was never done ) ”.

25/01/2011 a specialist in rheumatology found:

• ” Impaired movement in his left shoulder, the arm can be moved forward and outward to 90º, 45º backward and outward rotated to 60° ”.

• ” On the right hand, the arm can be elevated to 180°, backward to 70° and outwardly rotated to 70° ”.

• ” There is reduced strength in the left shoulder and elbow and there is reduced grip strength and strength in spreading of the fingers in the left hand ”.

Statement from the physiotherapist 01/03/2011

• ” there is no progress”…

• ” there is still reduced strength in the left upper limb, particularly by spreading of fingers and flexion. There is also generally reduced strength in the left lower limb and tendency to atrophy ”….

Meeting in Keldan:- Eyðun was disappointed- he left the meeting- his youngest daughter begged him to come back- two young men, Malmberg and Ingibjørn, got his permission to pray- what happened?

Statement from the ergotherapist

• ” Eyðun has been at a meeting where someone put a hand on his shoulder, he said that he felt a flow through the arm, then, Eyðun says, the pain disappeared in the shoulder and knee, and the power and the mobility returned ”

How is Eyðun today

• Since the healing on 20/03/2011 Eyðun has not had the slightest neurological symptoms. He is working every day and on the 25th of April 2013, he released his CD No 6.

• In 2013, he also produced one CDs for one Christian group, both CDs recorded in Nashville, Tennessee.
