District Director’s Message
Welcome My fellow Toastmasters in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.
"The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing". (Stephen R. Covey)
First, let me thank our Administrative Manager Venus and Public Relations Manager Busaba to make this District Directory booklet happened, with all supports from District leaders, DVDs, ADs and Club Officers. Thanks to sponsors who kindly contributed and made the printing possible. We do hope that this booklet will be useful for your handy reference.
“The main thing” is our District Mission, of course. We build new clubs and support all clubs in achieving excellence.
This quote about the main thing was mentioned in Leadership Training on August 14 in Washington, DC by Daniel Rex, CEO of Toastmasters International. There are many times that we are busy doing many things and we forget the main thing. Anyhow we cannot be successful without having happy members whom achieved their goals.
In my humble opinion I do strongly believe that with the simplest strategy “To Make A Member Happy” and to serve the needs of clubs, areas, divisions and district, we will definitely grow. Happy members will bring more guests and turn them to be members. They will spread good news about Toastmasters benefits to public.
Lastly, I wish all of you enjoy your Toastmasters journey. As team members serving our district97P in 2016-2017, we shall do our best to make our mission comes true.
Let’s “Make a Member Happy” and achieve President’s Distinguished District again.
Thanoo Saowaros, DTM
District 97P Director
