Meet The Founder!The writers at SUP Magazine sat down with the founder of Sirenas Tainas, Lisa Marie for an exclusive interview. She told us all about how her company got started & the girls that have joined her team!

What was originally a simple Facebook interest page, has now grown into a surfing store and team, all over the course of a few months! Lisa created the Sirenas Tainas page as a way to be able to post things relevant to her surfing interests but not annoy & overwhelm her friends who didn’t share the same interest.

After a while, Lisa started making & selling beach jewelry through the page, which led to her being invited to sell her things at different surfing competitions. The next step in the growth was the addition of Henna art. These temporary stain tattoos are the latest sensation in Puerto Rican surfing fashion, thanks to Lisa & her beautiful designs!

Fastforward to dozens of competitions under her belt & over 2,000 followers on Facebook, Lisa has now become somewhat of a paddle surfing public figure. But no worries, she has used her fame for good and created Puerto Rico’s first & only, all girls paddle surfing league. She is currently expanding her business to include surfing clinics!
