Satya Bharti School Teek running since year 2008 and known as a good school of the area.

• Geographical Location:–It is located at a distance of 12kms from District Headquarter Kaithal, Haryana•Cultural Background:–Major population belongs to General, OBC & SC Category- Village have a strong political & economic status in District

• –Agriculture is the main source of income.

Book collections drive We started our books

collection drive through door to door visit. For that we organized a rally with slogans like “Padho aur Padaho… Jeewan ko samridh Banao”

That way we collected books from houses of village people. We collected around 100 books on the very first day by visiting 40 houses.

In our collection we got variety of books like spiritual, social, general knowledge etc.

In our drive some villagers told us that they had sold all their books to scrap shop at the time of cleaning the house. So we decided to visit the scrap shop.

We found that a lot of books were kept in gunny bags.

We requested the shopkeeper to give us some useful books.

He gave us the opportunity to sort out as many books we liked and we got 60 good books for our Book Club.

Set up of Book Club

Then we started work in order to set up our book club in the room provided by village panchayat.

First of all we cleaned up the room with the help of our elders and teachers.

Then we prepared some charts and wall hanging material with the help of our teachers.

After that we started to arrange the collected books on the book rack and hand made pouches.

We also collected some pictures of the dignitaries to be hung on the side walls of our Book club.

Our Book club has become a new temple of learning in village. We have displayed the name of the persons who have donated us the books and give us News papers daily for our Book club.

• It is the final look of our imagination…. Our Book Club. By this time we have a collection of 400 Books and 12 people providing us News paper daily.

Now villagers are spending their leisure time in reading books. Now they do not waste time in playing cards. It is a new place in our village where villagers get knowledge of current affairs through reading News papers daily. This time it is a hot spot of the village.

The people of economically weaker section of community who were not able to purchase daily news paper, now feel that News paper is within their reach.

In our school we are having a library but this book club of ours has got more variety of books. In this way we got a new experience where we are using those books which we have collected by our hard work

Through this initiative we got a radical change in our village. People now a days are purchasing new books for our book club.
