Understanding learners’ ways of

knowing might help

teachers better interpret how their

learners look at things and thus

connect with them more efficiently.

The findings

showed that using e-portfolios

motivated and enhanced

students’ writing, language learning,

assessment, and technical skills. The

findings also revealed that there was a

questionable attitude among

educators about the differences

between using paper-based portfolios

and e-portfolios for writing

development.

A Qualitative

Research

Qualitative Approach was done

by observing students’ blog-

folios and analyzing their

relflections. There were 20

participants, who were 1st

semester student teachers/

preservice teachers of English

Study Program, in the study.

The study was done during one

semester of Writing for Personal

Responses Class in 2017.

in partners or small groups to acquire information,
