Chartwell SchoolCoordinator of Communications & Marketing 

We are currently looking for an organized, team-oriented Coordinator of Communications & Marketing to  join the Institutional Advancement team. The Coordinator of Communications & Marketing is instrumentalin developing and advancing enrollment, friend-raising and fundraising for Chartwell School and The NewHigh School Project at Chartwell. This person will support our mission through coordinatedcommunications and multi-channel marketing, including the annual campaign, enrollment marketing,special events, public relations, and other activities. The Coordinator of Communications & Marketing isexpected to build and maintain relationships with members of the Chartwell community including staff,alumni, families, volunteers, and friends as well as various segments of the wider community, including

media, professional organizations, schools, prominent individuals, and others.

The mission of Chartwell School is to provide diagnostic education to students with specific learningvariations in a way that provides them with the academic skills, confidence, creativity and perseverancenecessary to return successfully to mainstream education and lifelong learning. The school also provides avariety of workshops and services for the wider community.

Minimum Qualifications:1 to 3 years in marketing, communications, development and fundraising. Previous educational orindependent school experience preferred. Candidates must have excellent computer skills, including fullcompetency in Microsoft Office programs, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator and internet.Previous experience in website management and coordinating events is helpful.

Skilled in:The Successful candidate will be able to work both independently and as part of a team and possess ahigh degree of creativity, initiative and good judgment. Demonstrated excellence in communication  – written, verbal and presentations.Ability to prioritize and work efficiently. An outgoing personality, self-confidence and understanding of human behavior as well as enthusiasm for motivating people are alsodesired.

Education:4 year degree in public relations, journalism, advertising, communications, business administration or arelated field or equivalent from four-year College or certificate program.

Hours: 20 hours/week. Some flexibility in scheduling; possible future growth to full time.
