• 6,400 police including 1,600 from every Australian jurisdiction
and New Zealand.
• G20 Planning Group worked for two years to plan security
operations for this event.
• Unprecedented logistical support required.
• The G20 (Safety and Security) Act 2013 provided police with
extra powers.
