What is Demand Response?

Demand Response is an active involvement of consumers who temporarily accept to reduce their load by switching off appliances or processes or by transferring their load to on-site generation. By providing upward and downward flexibility to the system, Demand Response is an efficient and competitive answer to address challenges faced by Utilities and TSOs: real time balancing, Renewable Energy Sources integration, peak demand, local congestion, etc.

Besides a review of Demand Response technical, economic and legal fundamentals, this two-day training seminar shall give an operational approach of Demand Response solutions implementation in electricity markets. Concretely, the main large-scale Demand Response initiatives in France and Europe will be reviewed, in the light of the practical experience and standpoint from both a major Transmission System Operator, RTE, and the leading European Demand Response Operator, Energy Pool.

Registration To book your registration, please fill in the present registration form and send it to [email protected] or fax it to +33 (0)1 41 02 28 67. Please note that number of attendees is limited and that your participation needs to be confirmed by RTE International. Registration should be done by July 20th, 2014 at the latest. Your participation will be confirmed and access to the event will be given only when your full payment is received. Payment through bank transfer must be received by August 10th, 2014 at the latest. After registration, you will receive necessary information to plan your journey.

Prices & Conditions The fee covers attendance to the 2-days seminar, seminar documentation, refreshments during all breaks, two lunches and two dinners selected by organizers, high speed train travels from Paris to Lyon and from Chambery to Paris in 2nd class, private transport from Lyon to Chambery. Other expenses (hotel accommodation and travel costs except the ones mentioned previously) are not included. Special team discounts are applicable: Groups of 2 persons from the same organization receive 10% of discount. Groups of 3 or more from the same organization receive 15% of discount. Please refer to prices as detailed above.

Communication All communication must be done exclusively by email or by fax. English is the contractual language.

Cancellation & Modification No cancellation will be accepted. In the case a registrant informs not being able to attend the seminar after registration, he is free to appoint a substitute attendee. Please notify by email of any modification at the earliest. The detailed content and/or the timing of the programme may be changed at anytime by organizers. Organizers reserve the right to cancel the event at anytime, in such a case participation fees duly received shall be refunded to the registrants concerned.
