Freshman

• All freshmen are required to take English I or Honors English 1

• 40 credits to graduate

for optimal success in honors English 1, we recommend an “A” or “B” average in Eng 8or “A”,”B”,”C” average in Honors Eng 8.

2. MATH

• 30 credits to graduate (through IM 2)

•Mark the course listed where you can be most successful

• You can add “Support” if desired for IM 1

3. SCIENCE

30 credits to graduate

• All freshman will take the new ngss science (next generation science standards) • 10 credits = Life Science

• 10 credits = Physical Science

• 10 credits of either, must include 20 credits of a lab

All freshmen are required to take PE 1

5. expository writing & health

EXPO

• nonfiction reading and writing• essays, articles, workplace and public documents

• learn how to access information in textbooks and websites

• read and analyze nonfiction, as well as respond in essay format

• create documents such as works cited pages, autobiographical essays, and persuasive essays

7. FOREIGN LANGUAGE

8.-12. Elective & Alternative Courses

If you are in avid, rotc, band, student government you will write in the course name twice, it takes two elective spots and goes all school year
