Additional concert offers are available for Cirque Dreams Holidaze, IL VOLO and Daniel O’Donnell. Visit wlvt.org/boxoffice for details.

PBS39 is proud to present A Celebration of Our Community, programming that showcases the stories and traditions of our region.

Join us for presentations of recent PBS39 productions, including Second to None: Liberty High School Grenadier Band, Wyomissing: An American Dream, and The Salvation Army Legacy; as well as ‘From the Vault’ presentations of Bethlehem Steel: The People Who Built America, Hollywood on Hamilton: Remembering Hess’s, and Bringing New Life to Old Steel.

A Celebration of Our Community will air on PBS39 on Tuesday, December 6th, 8:00pm -11:30pm and Tuesday, December 13th, 7:00pm - 12:00am

Little Anthony and the Imperials are an American rhythm and blues/soul/doo-wop vocal group from New York City, first active in the 1950s. Lead singer Jerome Anthony “Little Anthony” Gourdine was noted for his high-pitched voice, influenced by Jimmy Scott. For nearly 60 years, Little Anthony & The Imperials have been entertaining

audiences with their vintage soul and doo wop stylings. The group’s hits include classics, “Tears on My Pillow,” “Shimmy, Shimmy, Ko-Ko-Bop,” and “Goin’ Out of My Head.”

Little Anthony & The Imperials were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on April 4, 2009, after 23 years of eligibility.

On Sunday, April 2, the Rock & Roll Hall of Famers will headline at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center as part of PBS39’s Soul and Doo Wop Spectacular. For more information, visit wlvt.org/boxoffice.

It’s that time again! As the year winds down, many PBS39 supporters are considering what and how to give before December 31st. Gifts of cash are always popular and deeply appreciated. Yet, have you considered a gift of appreciated stock? Donating appreciated stock to PBS39 can prove to be good for you – and even better for our community.

For starters, a gift of appreciated stock can generate attractive tax savings. By donating appreciated stock that you’ve owned for more than one year, you become eligible to claim an immediate charitable deduc-tion for what the stock is worth today, as opposed to what you paid for it many years ago. This deduction could help reduce your taxable income and, ultimately, your taxes. If you decide instead to sell this same stock, you would be taxed on the gain, even if you ultimately decide to donate the proceeds. Giving stock directly to PBS39 can help keep your long-term gains in the community, rather than on your tax return.

Last, but definitely not least, a stock donation is a convenient way to increase your support of public television. We know that many PBS39 supporters would like to give more to support our mission, but areconcerned about their cash flow. By donating appreciated stock, you would be able hold on to your cash, and perhaps make a bigger impact than you otherwise thought possible.

Get a jump-start on your year-end giving by contacting your broker today! You can also contact Maria Esposito at (610) 984-8134 [email protected].

Share the world.
