#1: Neil Perry The challenge that Neil faces is that his dad runs his life, he doesn’t really have
any control over the decisions that he faces in his life. He deals with the challenge at first obeying his orders. But he finds a love for acting and decides to audition. He gets the part and doesn’t tell his father. His dad finds out in the end and wants him to enroll in military school. Neil finally has enough and takes his life.
Todd Anderson The challenge that Todd faces is that he lives in his brother’s shadow who was the

Knox Overstreet The challenge that Knox faces is that he is in love with the Chris Noel but she
already has a boyfriend. Knox deals with it by learning to seize the day and guns for her. It ends with him winning the girl.
#2: John Keating John influenced the characters in this movie because he taught them to think for
themselves. He helped them find themselves as a person. With Neil, he helped him find his love for acting. Also, he helped Todd find his talents, which was poetry. He told them to seize the day, and it helped Knox win the heart of Chris Noel even when he faced adversity.
Norman Lloyd Norman influenced the characters in the movie by making sure that they learned
by the book. He was against John Keating and all his teachings. Everyone was scared of him. Cameron even went against his own friends because he was scared of what Lloyd might do to him.
Neil Perry Neil influenced the characters in the movie because he made the group of boys

#4: It influenced the characters that remain because John Keating was later fired and Mr. Lloyd took over as the English teacher. The kids therefore didn’t have him as a teacher anymore. But it influenced the group by not letting anyone make decisions for them. They showed this example at the end when they all stand against Lloyd and give Mr. Keating a proper farewell.
#5: The tagline “He was their inspiration. He made their lives extraordinary” means that Mr. Keating changed their lives. He made their lives more then just reading the books, getting good grades and listening to their parents. He made them think outside the box, find their talents, and made decisions for themselves. He made their school life more than any other student at Welton. He was their inspiration, they listened to him and he taught them about life.
