Summary Prior to 1988

Following is a summary of commercial/industrial contracts by year and includes work contracted prior to arrival at the Wichita State University. 1987: 18 contracts including a small scale mitigation project with TECHRAD, Inc. for impact mitigation on the

AES Shady Point facility in Eastern Oklahoma, and conclusion of investigations of pipeline right of way impact mitigation for the City of Midwest City on the National Register Quillan site. The remaining contracts were all small oil and gas pipeline and well pad surveys on Federal and State lands in Oklahoma and Texas.

1986: 16 contracts including the second year of work for the City of Midwest City, Oklahoma on the Quillan site

mitigation effort, and the first year of work on the AES Shady Point co-generation facility. The remainder were small scale surveys for various agencies and oil and gas companies on Federal and State Lands in Oklahoma and Texas.

1985: 30 contracts including first year of mitigation efforts for the City of Midwest City on the National Register

Quillan site (34OK11), and the balance of effort on small oil and gas and other agency projects on Federal and State lands in Oklahoma and Texas.

1984: 14 contracts, all small surveys for oil and gas companies and other agencies involved with work on State or

Federal land in Oklahoma and Texas. 1983: 25 contracts including a survey of the 1,780 acre Dry Creek Watershed for the U. S. D. A. Soil

Conservation Service. The remainder of the contracts were small surveys for oil and gas companies and other agencies involved with work on State or Federal lands in Oklahoma and Texas.

1982: 25 contracts including primarily work for Oil and Gas lease preparations in Oklahoma and Texas and

involvement in a test excavation and impact mitigation program on a late prehistoric site near Williston, North Dakota.

1981: 13 contracts including direction of a major quadrat sample of the western margin of the Texas Panhandle

for Heningson, Durham and Richards as part of the MX Missile project. The remaining contracts were all small survey projects for oil and gas companies as part of lease preparation and applications for permits to drill or construction. All were in Oklahoma and Texas Panhandle.
