We have full walking access to all three schools. Our students do walk home after late practices and other activities.3) We are a single street 32 home subdivision that is closely tied to Laurel Springs (per zoning requirements). Our census impact on the high school is only 7 students per year. Redistricting our subdivision has virtually no effect on Lambert HS, yet it would have significant negative impact on the lives of the families in our subdivision.4) We are only 1 mile via a 10' paved trail from Lambert HS, versus over 4 miles via a state highway from South Forsyth HS. This change would unnecessarily endanger our new drivers and prevent our students from walking to and from school. 5) Subdivisions such has Montgrove, Evonvale and Caney Creek are all on the west side of the same divider road as The Gates at Luberon, yet they are remaining at Lambert HS based on their communities being tied to Johns Creek and larger subdivisions districted to Lambert HS. We are no different. In fact, we are smaller with much less impact on the school population. 6) Per our neighborhood plat, county zoning required our subdivision to be materially the same as Laurel Springs. We are asking that we simply stay within the same district as our sister neighborhood. Please outline your suggestions: I am writing in regards to the redistricting of the high schools. I believe that the proximity of our neighborhood (Gates at Luberon) to Lambert high school should ultimately be the deciding factor to the redistricting process. In addition, almost all of the extracurriculars that the kids are currently involved with are also with Lambert high school. It won't make sense to move the kids to a high school that is four miles away vs. one mile away and a place where they are currently receiving their education. Please consider our request to remain a part of Lambert.

Please outline your suggestions: I am listing all the reasons below for why we should stay in Lambert HS. The biggest component is the transportation and the ease of getting our kids to the high school. We live so close that our kids could (and do) walk to school. This directly impacts the traffic in our area. Moving to South Forsyth High School would require our kids to not only take a bus or drive but require multiple trips to the school to get them for before and after school activities. Our neighborhood is so small that the number of kids at Lambert per year, 7, has no real impact on the school but such an impact on our kids who have grown up with Lambert friends (because of our feeder schools). To move high schools forces our kids out of the community they have grown up in. Please outline your suggestions: I cannot agree with the initial map on 9/12/17. As a long time resident of the county this arbitrary line drawing fails to connect to the community where we, the long time taxpayers and property owners of the county, have built families and nutured our communities. Better to redistrict the recently developed neighborhoods then rip apart the very fabric of the county. On the existing map, the nearest school is Lambert, in fact my neighborhood backs up to the school. To now ask my teenagers to drive miles on busy 141 along with the commuters traveling on this state road is difficult to understand as a parent. The safety, the culture, the community are what brought me to this area twenty years ago to raise a family. Now the school board looks to rip that apart.

This redistricting doesn't make sense geographically or environmentally. Academic Concern: Family moved to area solely for the SFHS IB Program due to husband's Visa. Oldest child is finishing IB this year. Second child is a current 9th Grader at SFHS and under County criteria wouldn't qualify for OOD for IB Program. In previous years a student planning to undertake the IB Program was recommended to go from 9th grade onwards.

Please outline your suggestions: I find it incredibly unfair that my child is being penalized for the terrible choices made by the Forsyth county BOC. The reckless growth within the county, particularly in the northern end of the county, has presented us with school overcrowding that is not being addressed with these changes. My children are being uprooted from the school where they have made a home for themselves to be placed in a school where overcrowding and trailers on the property will still be occurring. As a family, we have donated countless volunteer hours over the past 3 years, as well as monetary donations, to ensure SCES would be the type of place our children would enjoy over the next 6 years they are there. Having moved to the SCES district specifically for the teachers and programs and culture offered there, particularly for my special needs student, I am irate that my children are now being affected by this stopgap measure that will not solve any of the actual overcrowding issues, and that there is a decent chance they will be asked to shift again at some point in the future.

Kids from Summit crossing will go to SFHS and only kids from our community will go to new school. This will impact big time for commute for HS student. Also I don't see IB program is offered in this new school and my son wants to go to IB program. Also don't see much options for sports. Other issue is this school is only upto 11 th grade, so kids has to change again in 12?? Strongly requesting for ‐ Wildbrook should stay in SFHS as we are next to Summit crossing and after that there is no community . This will be good for kids.

And our sub‐division is end for ronald Reagan rd. If we are assigned Denmark HS, travel time will be more when compared to South Forsyth HS. This would impact their daily schedule.Hope you would consider our suggestion to keep Wildbrooke sub‐division under South Forsyth HS zone.

The new developments have no ties to anyschool & would a much easier rezoning vs moving a very established development. In addition,our property values will be damaged by the apartments, and this move will only deepen those damagesto our property values. Don't punish us or our kids due to the BOC or BOE's inability to control growth in this district!!You can take whatever you need for CES but I ask that you take from any and allnew developments first regardless of proximity to SES or CES. We only have 90 home and are the only subdivision on the east side of south Castleberry Road....and the homes on east side of South Castleberry Road are zoned to stay in West district. We should as well. There appears to be an error on the map showing we have an entrance to our subdivision from Majors Road. We do NOT. Access is only from Castleberry Road. Having us zoned to Denmark would add to more traffic heading south on Hwy9. It's already a nightmare as you approach Midway Elementary in the mornings. Keeping us in the West district would have us moving against the flow of early morning traffic thus making access to the high school much smoother and ensure that traffic accidents that frequently occurring on 400 would not make our children tardy for school as they compete with the Hwy9 alternate route. So please keep us at West Forsyth High district.

Please outline your suggestions: The Gates at Luberon subdivision should remain in the Lambert HS district instead of being zoned for South Forsyth High School due to the following reasons.‐ Our subdivision is less than 700 yards from the 10 foot wide paved county trail that is being constructed to connect Sharon ES, Lambert HS, and South Forsyth MS. We have full walking access to all three schools. Our students do walk home after late practices and other activities. ‐ It is consistent with the feeder patterns of Sharon ES and South Forsyth MS where our students currently attend. ‐ We are a single street 32 home subdivision that is closely tied to Laurel Springs (per zoning requirements). Our census impact on the high school is only 7 students per year. Redistricting our subdivision has virtually no effect on Lambert HS, yet it would have significant negative impact on the lives of the families in our subdivision. ‐ We are only 1 mile via a 10' paved trail from Lambert HS, versus over 4 miles via a state highway from South Forsyth HS. This change would unnecessarily endanger our new drivers and prevent our students from walking to and from school. ‐ Subdivisions such has Montgrove, Evonvale and Caney Creek are all on the west side of the same divider road as The Gates at Luberon, yet they are remaining at Lambert HS based on their communities being tied to Johns Creek and larger subdivisions districted to Lambert HS. We are no different. In fact, we are smaller with much less impact on the school population. ‐ Per our neighborhood plat, county zoning required our subdivision to be materially the same as Laurel Springs. We are asking that we simply stay within the same district as our sister neighborhood. The BOE has already made this concession all along Windermere Pkwy and Brookwood Rd, which are the same divider road as Mathis Airport Rd.‐ Our students play soccer at the McGinnis Ferry Rd fields with Lambert students. They play tennis, golf, and are on swim teams in Laurel Springs, Aberdeen, and Old Atlanta Club with Lambert students. They play baseball, football, and lacrosse on Lambert feeder teams. They play basketball, run, and workout at the county recreation center across the street from Lambert with Lambert students. They are members of cheer teams with Lambert students. They are members of Boy Scout Troup 415 on James Burgess Rd with Lambert students. They work for Chick‐fil‐a in Johns Creek with Lambert students. Our subdivision is very much part of the Lambert community, not the South Forsyth HS community.

Now you are moving our children again to Chattahoochee. It is extremely frustrating to move our kids back and forth. We love our school and have made great relationships. I feel like b/c of the demographic that lives down the road no one wants to deal with. We keep getting thrown around from place to place. Children need stability and my moving them around they aren't getting that. Please consider the children that are just getting jerked around.

I have grown up here my entire life and seeing all the overgrowth and chnGes is very sad and hope it stops at some point or we will be just another Gwinnett or dekalb county.

Currently my both boys are in Piney Grove and they enjoy the school, teachers and made great friendship in last 2 years. It was tough decision for us to move from Garnet Valley PA in 2016 July , especially my boys as they were going to miss their friends and their friendship.My boys did research for school and area and then we decide to get into Lennar Wildbrooke Community. Now again they( we all) have to emotionally go down the same experience if they are moved to Denmark HS.Also don't forget we paid premium for our houses to get into SFHS. Also paying extra taxes to stay in good school zone. We are the community at the end of Ronald Reagan dead end and closer to SFHS. Not sure how your post man alogrithm works for distance and arranging the buses. We are closer to SFHS which will benefit both schools and students due to time saving for students and cost for schools to run the buses.Not sure why we are not part of SFHS.. makes me wonder that parents needs more involvment with what is happening with this school district.

Please outline your suggestions: Life isn't fair. We learn this lesson early on and teach it to our kids early on. My family has lived in the same home for 14 years. We have been at the same elementary school for 7 of those years. We are extremely vested in our school. Blood, sweat, tears, time, talent, treasures have all been poured into one place by us and our children. It's very heartbreaking to think because our growth has been poorly controlled by the elected officials that our family will be forced to make a BIG change we are not ready to make. People blow in and out of this county on a regular basis. Home means very little to them. We are not one of those people. We are natives to Forsyth. Our parents and grandparents are natives to Forsyth. Our dues have been more than paid when it comes to contributing to Forsyth County through taxes, SPLOST, etc. I suggest giving people who have lived in their home more than 10 years the option to stay and provide their own transportation if they have to and the new building residents can be placed wherever. Would it matter to them anyways? Flowers grow best where they are rooted deep and are nurtured. Some people uproot those flowers and try to move them. Some take and still flourish. Some, however, wither and fail to thrive. That is not a chance I am willing to take with my children.

Please outline your suggestions: Extremely unhappy about the redistricting to South vs Lambert. Right now our neighborhood backs up to Lambert and students can walk there bc we are so close. Redistricting to South forces more transportation needs causing students to either drive more, resulting in more traffic on what is already busy(and dangerous) backroads. I seriously suggest changing school start time to later to accommodate this huge shift that will result from redistricting or reconsider moving those neighborhoods that are located on 141 to South instead of Lambert, which makes much more sense logistically. Also worth noting is we have several teachers that work at Lambert in our neighborhood and have dedicated their careers to the school to keep it great for when their children attend. In addition, we have many many families with kids already attending who also have multiple siblings that expect to attend Lambert.

Please outline your suggestions: We have been distracted for Silver City since it opened in 2005. We purchased our home because of this. There are a lot of new neighborhoods coming up...we recommend they be redistributed to Chestatee rather than is as long time SCES families.
