Introduction

Dasco manufacture a variety types of louvers designed for

intake, exhaust and control air movement applications.

Their strong, clean lines and careful workmanship enhance

the appearance of the building, whether it is industrial,

commercial or domestic. While most of the louvers are

mainly manufactured in complete lines of extruded

aluminium blades, and to complement or accentuate

architectural feature, such as round, arched and angular

structures, Dasco can offer and modify special

louvers incorporating virtually any combination of round,

diagonal and rectilinearframe segments to be suitable for

different applications and architectural requirements.

Product Range

It is well understood in HVAC engineering, that a proper air conditioning or ventilating system can not operate efficiently without an efficient air movement component device. Hence, louver have been always considered as one of the most important air terminal devices which utilize and control the flow of air in and out of the buildings. Louver structure “frame and blades” can also be modified and reinforced to withstand excessive loads and to play a role in effective weather protection.Plenty of louver blades have been re-developed and many others newly designed to permit and help louversto be complied in many of the recent engineering applications.

Fresh Air Louver With Flat Frame(DFL - 11HFF)

FRESH AIR LOUVERS

GENERALDasco fresh a ir louvers (DFL-11H) are considered as an architectural air inlets and outlets with a remarkable clean and aesthetically pleasing appearance. They are widely and successfully used for central airconditioning,ventilation and industrial ventilation systems. These louvers have a low resistance to air flow and high free area, making them a preferred choice for installations which require high air flow.

DESCRIPTIONDFL-11H louvers have a 2 inch deep fixed horizontal vanes (blades) which are carefully designed to get low pressure drop, maximum free area and to prevent wind and rain-water penetration. They are available in1.25” flanged (flat or curved) frame which in turn is mechanically joined to give the highest rigidity and strength. Louvers can be supplied as optional with galvanized bird or aluminium insect screen, volume control damper and air filter of 1”, 2” or 4” thickness. The filters are accessable from the side or backward of the louver depending upon type of installation and must be specified by the customers. These louvers are available in standard given sizes however, they can be supplied in other requested sizes and architectural shapes upon customers requirements.

MATERIAL AND FINISHDFL-11H louvers are made of heavy gauge extruded aluminium profiles. They are available in white polyester powder coated finish or any other RAL standard colour upon customer’s request. Bird screens are made of galvanized expanded metal sheets, however dampers are made of extruded aluminium profiles.

SAND LOUVERS

Dasco sand louver DSL-12H are architectural air inlets. They are widely used for building exteriors and are suitable for different HVAC and industrial applications to prevent sand entry. The blades are carefully designed to provide a low resistance to air flow and a high free area.

Sand Louver (DSL - 12H)

DESCRIPTIONDSL-12H louvers have 2 inch deep horizontal fixed blades designed carefully for low pressure drop and to prevent entry of sand. The frame is 1.25” wide (flat or curved) flanged type and is mechanically joined to give a rugged construction to the louver. These louvers are available as optional with galvanized bird screen, aluminum type air filter in 1”, 2” and 4” thickness and volume control damper. They are manufactured in a wide range of standard sizes however, they can be supplied in non-standard sizes, depths or architectural shapes to suit customers requirements.

To select a suitable size of a sand louver (DSL-12H) for a certain application, follow exactly the same procedure as been explained previously.

GENERAL

Dasco sand louvers DSLH-12H are considered as an architectural air inlets. They have wide deep heavy aluminium blades suitable to be used for building exteriors and are very efficient to prevent sand entry. They are used for different HVAC and industrial applications. Special blades are carefully designed to provide a low resistance to air flow and high free area.

DESCRIPTION

Sand Trap Louvers

GENERAL

Dasco sand trap louvers DSL-8X are designed for fresh air intake applications to separate air-borne sand and dust from the stream of air. They are provided with a self emptying sand drain holes at the base. Blades are also arranged in a way to provide a low resistance to air flow and a high free area.

Sand Trap Louver (DSL - 8AL)

DESCRIPTION

DSL-8X sand trap louvers are manufactured from extruded aluminium profiles as standard and are available in a wide range of sizes for all intake capacities. Blades are of 4” deep aluminium profiles as standard. However, other blade depths are also available upon customer’s request (1.5”, 1.75” and 2”). The frame is 3” wide and is perfectly joined to give a rugged construction to the louver. Smaller 2” width frames are also available. Another optional sand trap louvers are completely con--structed from galvanized steel. Galvanized bird screens are also available as accessories.

Dasco pressure relief louvers DPRL-33 are

widely used to maintain constant level of

pressure inside pressurized rooms by relieving

excess air when it exceeds the desired limits.

The blades are designed and positioned in such

a way to permit automatic lifting to relieve the

pressure in the room and then to drop back to

the closed position by gravity when the room

pressure is normalized. DPRL-33 louvers can

also be used at duct terminations to prevent

backdrafts when air moving devices (fans) are

switched off.

They are generally installed at exhaust ducts in

painting plants, diesel generator rooms,

ventilation systems and kitchen hoods.

Pressure Relief Louver (DPRL - 33)

DESCRIPTIONDasco pressure relief louvers-gravity shutters - (DPRL-33) are made of light weight horizontal pivoted blades, so designed to seal air leakages when closed and to reduce noise generation when opened. The frame is a flanged rugged type (curved or flat) 1.25” wide.They are available in standard sizes and are also manufactured (as optional) in non-standard sizes upon customers requirements.Galvanized bird screen are also provided as accessories.

Penthouse Louvers

Dasco penthouse louvers DPHL - 13H are considered as typical louver units for both air intake and exhaust applications.They are designed and built to become a permanent part of the building. They maintain their pleasant appearance and effective weather protection as a result of their rugged, durable, extruded aluminium construction and careful workmanship. They are usually furnished with either mullion or mitered corners and incorporate the normal Dasco fresh air louver blades DFL-11H as standard. However, any other type of Dasco louver blades can also be used as optional.

PENTHOUSE LOUVERS

GENERAL

DPHL - 13H penthouse louvers have as a standard 2” deep fixed horizontal blades. The blades are carefully designed to get low pressure drop, maximum free area and to prevent rain-water penetration. They are available in 1.25” flanged frame and are built and mounted to an internal framing with mullion corners. The integral framing mullion structures are furnished with a standard 1.6” x 1.6” extruded aluminium profiles. For the other mitered corners type penthouse louvers, blades are beveled and welded internally at the end. The top of the penthouses are covered with flat or pitched roofs of aluminium sheets. All of the four louver sides are of removable type for easy maintenance purposes. Penthouse louvers can also be supplied as optional with galvanized bird or insect screens and / or aluminium washable air filters of 1”, 2”, or 4” thickness.

DESCRIPTION

DSPL-16H louvers have 3 inch deep heavy gauge horizontal blades of 2 mm thick aluminium extruded profiles. They are carefully designed to get low pressure drop, maximum free area and to prevent rain water penetration by diverting water along blade troughs. They are available in 1.6” flanged curved frame of heavy gauge aluminium profile which in turn is mechanically joined to give the heighest rigidity and strength. Louvers can be supplied as optional with galvanized bird or aluminium insect screen, volume control damper and aluminium air filter of 1”, 2” or 4” thickness. The filters are accessable from the side or backward of the louver depending upon type of installation and must be specified by the customer. These louvers are available in standard given sizes, however they can also be supplied in other requested sizes and architectural shapes upon customers requirements.

MATERIAL AND FINISH

DSPL-16H louver are made of heavy gauge extruded aluminium profiles of 2 mm thickness. They are available in white polyester powder coated finish or any other RAL standard colour upon customer’s request. Bird screens are made of galvanized expanded metal sheets.
