Integration between scales/levels of governance Integration between sectors
What? Coordinated and participatory decision-making, planning and managementof water resources across scales and sectors
Why? To set common goals, avoid duplication and conflict, improve coordination, and ensure cost-effectiveness in decision-making, planning, governance andmanagement of water resources. Also helps to ensure that external and non-governmental support projects contribute to national aims in a coordinated and cost-effective manner (i.e. foreign aid and NGO efforts).
