Screwdriver
Remove the air crossover tube.

Remove the air intake cover plate or aftercooler.
10 and 19mm
Remove the fuel drain manifold. Discard the sealing washers.

Remove the injectors.
NOTE: An injector puller Part No. 3822482 is available for hard to remove injectors.

Warning: Use protective measures to prevent personal injury.
The cylinder head may be cleaned in a hot tank using a soap and water solution.
Apply a bead of Loctite™ 277 around the outside diameter of all cup plugs before installing.
Caution: The cup plugs and cup plug holes must be clean and free of oil before installing the cup plugs.
Drive all cup plugs in until the outer edge is flush with the counter sink.
Cup Plug Locations
1. 1.198 inch, six required
2. 58.06mm, two required
Accessory Drive Adapter Disassembly T Bar Puller
Remove the drive gear.
The shaft/bearing assembly will only press out in one direction.
Press the shaft and bearing assembly out as Illustrated.
Caution: Do not reuse the bearing after removing.
Press the shaft out of the bearing and discard the bearing.
Accessory Drive Adapter Assembly 1.50 inch ID Pipe Coupling
Support the inner race of the new bearing and press the shaft into the bearing until the shaft bottoms on the inner race.

Support the housing and press the bearing and shaft assembly in until it bottoms.
Caution: Press on the outer race of the bearing assembly.
~~ Position the gear with the lip down.

1.25 inch Pipe Coupling
Support the bottom of the shaft with a 1.25 inch pipe coupling and press the gear on until it bottoms against the inner-bearing race.
Install the expanding plug in the barring tool hole.
Coat both sides of the inspection plate gasket with KW Copper Coat@.
13mm
Install the inspection plate.
Tighten to 24 Nem [18 ft-lbsJ.
Front Support - Clean and Inspect Use solvent. Clean the part.
Check the part for cracks or damage.
