Performing arts strategy
It is supervised by EETEAL, Estonian Theatre Agency and Estonian Theatre Union.
Performing arts strategyMain issues and solutions: to achieve more balanced system of project- and
repertoire theatres; to produce and distribute theatre productions in rural
areas; to guarantee stable financing of performing art
institutions; to elaborate a long-term state strategy for culture export; to encourage cooperation between different higher
educational institutions and performing arts institutions; to provide social guarantees for freelancers.
Performing arts strategy
Problems and criticism: the initiative of the Ministry of Culture to reform the
funding of theatres; the Ministry of Culture has not agreed to confirm the
development plan as an official agreement.
How to pressurize decision makers to implement the plans as soon as possible and to the greatest benefit
to everybody?
