Spotlight on Air Force JROTC
Spotlight on Child Development
The Child Development classes at Bethel High School are studying birth defects/condions. Student, Jaci Reynolds, discovered Mr. Steve Pete’s website as she was researching the condion, Congenital Insensivity to Pain. She invited him to speak. His condion is very rare. He will be featured in Newsweek magazine in a couple of weeks and flies to London next week as part of a research study they are doing on CIP. The students appreciated him sharing his story with Mrs. Caramandi’s 3rd period class. Several stated that what they had learned about genecs helped them to understand what he was explaining to them and how talking with him made learning come alive! *Steve is the adult in the middle of the picture.
Air Force JROTC Cadets parcipated in the State Fair (Puyallup Fair). They were invited to adverse our program and educate our communies about the great benefits of JROTC, their acvies, the curriculum and how this program develops beer cizens regardless of career path. During these few days they were able to make appearances throughout the grounds and received posive feedback by all.
