Producer:

Deniesha Freeman• Role:

Producers work closely with the directors and other production staff on a shoot. The Producer will deal with the finance and distribution companies in planning the marketing and distribution of the

finished film. A producer must make sure that they are able to communicate well with the crew due to the fact that the producer will be the main person talking to all of the crew as it is the producers job to make sure that everyone is doing their roles. The producer must also make sure that they are good a problem solving as if one person in the crew is unable to do something the Producer will have to solve this problem.

• Responsibly:As the producer, during the pre- production

I am responsible for making sure the crew and cast are sorted, the location is risk assessed and having permissions for it. The are also responsible for helping the assistants and the director when needed during the post production stages. I feel that I am the most suitable for this job due to the fact that I am well organised and I am always prepared. I am a natural leader and I will not hesitate to step in and help my of the team members that are struggling.

Director of Photography (Camera operator)

Michael Oladokun• Role:• The director of photography, also known as the DoP or the cinematographer, assists the film director

by establishing the visual look of the movie. As a DoP, you'll help tell the story through the artistic and technical decisions. The must work with the director, camera crew and the lighting crew so that they make sure that they know what they have to do on the set and seen as we do not have a big crew and there is only a few people that will be in our group so that means that the lighting will be down to the DoP.

• Responsibly:• As a cinematographer, Michael will

provide us with the storyboard and animatics for the idea during pre production, he will also make a shooting scripts so we know which shots to use during filming. The director also helps the cinematographer during this stage. The DoP is in charge of the lighting and the setting up of the camera. The reason that Micheal is best fitted for this position is because he has experience with lighting shots and making sure that the camera is positioned in the correct place.

Director:

Dejhanea Gregory

• Responsibly:• As the director, Dejhanea is responsible for

making sure that everything goes according to plan e.g. Sourcing for locations etc. She is the person that is in charge of the whole crew when shooting so that her vision as the director is not lost when filming. She will also be responsible for taking charge and giving advise to the Director of Photography due to the fact that the they will have to light the shots correctly and if it is not how the director had pictured it then they will have to do the shot again so making sure that the DoP makes sure the everything is correct is not just down to them it also fall back onto the director, and as the director I feel that Dejhanea will be the best fit for this role.

Skill Set:

• Role:• The director must decide upon the interpretation to be given the play; work with the playwright (if possible), designers, and

technicians in planning the production; cast and rehearse the actors; and coordinate all elements into the finished production. The director has to be creative due to the fact that they are the people that will be showing what they visual want to see on the screen. They must have excellent communication skills with the team as they will have to communicate what they would want and how they would like it to be shown on screen. The director must also be able to make big decisions due to the fact that they will have to make sure that the crew that they need is correct for the production and to make such when filming that all of

the crew are able to know what they are doing in order for everything to go smoothly.

Assistant director:

Timmy Olupitan

• Responsibly:• As an assistant, Timmy must make sure

that everything is going well during production, he must also make sure that everything is on schedule and helping out when needs be. Timmy will be good at this job as he is able to take orders from other people and also take constructive criticism which is very handy due to the fact that if he couldn’t this means that they will not be good for this job however Timmy is able to accept criticism making him the man for the job. Also as an assistant director you must be a able to multi task and I feel that Timmy is able to multi task as he has been put in positions where he has had to do more than one task simultaneously.

Skill Set:

• Role:• Tracking daily progress against the filming production schedule, preparing daily call sheets, checking cast and crew,

and maintaining order on the set. They also have to take care of the health and safety of the crew. They must be able to be a good team leader and motivate the others when it comes to filming as the takes can take a long time. They must be able to multi task due to the fact that they have to make sure that all of the directors needs are fulfil their own needs aswell.
