• The mission of CREPC is to enhance the operational readiness of member governments to handle hazardous materials incidents and all types of emergencies

ESF-2, IMT, ESF-5 Duty Officers

• CREPC conducted 1st “Going Forward” meeting with ESF-Chairs / CREPC Duty Officers/ IMT / DEMHS – 3/12/10– Each participant had an opportunity to speak
about events in general and Kleen Energy incident specifically – “timed”

Expectations of CREPC
• Municipalities – solve problems for disasters, response and planning; serve as LEPC; fill the county government gap; conduct drills and exercises, equipment funding
• Provide a Regional planning “model”

• Provide resources others don’t have (CREPC has “internal” expectation “we will be used” – doesn’t always happen
• RESP activation means “we” (locals) lose control
