Reporting UtilitiesTake the time to rank all courses you would like to take. There is no limit to the number of courses.
Students may assign a Utility value from 0-100 or 0-10. Utilities are relative! Either form of ranking is identical.
Sections assigned “0” utility cannot be added to a schedule.
(Remember, you can use any rating scale, but be consistent)

Utilities are weighted by a course’s credit unit value.
• For a 1 CU course…
• For a 0.5 CU course…
(100 x 1) = 100
(100 x 0.5) = 50
Reporting Utilities
Assign Utilities across multiple sections of the same course

and across multiple courses offered at the same time.
2x rule – assign utilities to twice the number of unique courses that you want the system to acquire for you

Course Registration: Blocked Combinations
Course Match knows which core classes you cannot take together.
If you assigned Utilities to both MGMT611 and MGMT612, Course Match will know not to give you both.
