Issues Found with IE7

• Applications utilizing CSS display incorrectly

• Jacada – tested okay although not certified

Other Considerations

• Kentucky.gov

– Issues with CSS and Java have been addressed and there are no known issues under IE7 at this time

• Enterprise Web Design Templates and CSS

– COT has applied fixes and Agencies utilizing these as recommended should be compatible with IE7

Recommendations

• Agencies which rely on FileNet or eMARS will not be able to use IE7 until those applications are made compatible – perhaps as late as 3rd Quarter 2007

• Agencies utilizing other browser based software should work with vendor to determine compatibility

• Agencies should identify and test on their own for applications and frequently used web sites under IE7 to ensure compatibility before endorsing an upgrade

• COT is working to determine level of effort required for COT maintained applications and will work with agencies to get those applications IE7 compatible

IE7 Installation for Testing

IE7 can be installed as a “stand-alone” application so as to not overwrite IE 6, but we have noticed some problems with this installation.

Better method would be to upgrade a single machine for testing purposes.

Identify and document problems or issues and work with vendor to resolve.
