INTRODUCTIONCorruption in India is not a new things.Corruption in India is as old as Ramayana, when evil giant Ravana bribed a guardian of hell to avoid Indian epic.The word corruption means the destruction, running or a nation. A corrupt society stops valuing integrity, virtue or moral principles. Corruption is an age old phenomena, Selfishness and greed are the two main causes of corruption. Corruption has prevailed in all forms of government.
People power triumphs in anti-corruption campaign
• Hats off Anna Hazare. India is not Anna, nor is Anna India. Call him nothing but a symbol, if you must. But spot the good news from Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan.
• Anna’s historic victory is a celebration of the people’s power. Prime minister Manmohan Singh was once the ‘darling’ of middle class. He has lost that supports as men, women, children spilled out on the streets in protest.
