“Doing the Most Good”
Right here in Peoria
With every dollar you invested, we strive to make the most change.
The Peoria Salvation Army is serving our community in need and delivering
the broadest array of services. We are meeting the most basic human needs
through food pantries, shelters, emergency living assistance and disaster
relief. Below are examples of the impact The Salvation Army had in 2018.

“Fundraising for Good”
Corporate Fundraising Opportunities
Company Match
If the employees of an organization have agreed to raise money for The Salvation
Army, an incentive to participate in the fun is offering a Company Match. This
means that the amount raised by the employees’ personal donations, would be
doubled by the organization and then donated to The Salvation Army. This not
only helps our cause twice over, it increases company morale and employee
participation knowing their contribution will not go unnoticed.
Adopt a Kettle
The Annual Red Kettle Campaign is a familiar reminder to those in need that the
community is offering support to help get them back on their feet. As participants
in this campaign, employees who would like to volunteer their time and effort are
assigned a kettle to raise funds for The Salvation Army. During this time, the
employees take shifts manning a kettle and gathering donations from community
members walking into area shops. The employees can ring bells, sing Christmas
carols, and spread holiday cheer all while having a little fun and raising money to
help those in need.
Angel Tree Sponsorship
This program is an opportunity for employees to purchase a gift specifically for a
child in need. If an organization would like to participate, they can request to
receive an unlimited amount of Angel Tree tags. Each tag has the name of the child
along with their present “wish” for Christmas. The employees can then purchase
that wish list item for the child to open on Christmas morning.

Needs Menu
On the next few pages, you will be introduced to the various
programs offered by The Peoria Salvation Army. You will see the
program name with a brief description and specific needs to keep
that program operating at it’s best. These needs are either
monetary donations, in-kind donations through products or
services, or volunteer hour donations. If you see a program of
interest to you, feel free to discuss opportunities with us that
may not be listed as a specific need. Programs are always
innovating and thinking of new ways to improve practices, so any
donations would be a step towards the right direction.
These specific needs have been outlined in detail for your
company and employee base to review and decide as a group
where your donation would best fit. Every donation will be
graciously accepted and documented. After all, your corporate
donation helps us serve the Peoria community in need and we
want to be sure that your company is being recognized and
thanked for being involved in our Partners for Good program.
