CONNECT WITH THE AMCA @ARBS 2016

Welcome to the bi-annual Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Building Services Exhibition. ARBS promises to be an exciting three day event with over 300 exhibitors, opportunities to network with your peers, access to the latest innovative product offerings and advice on how changes with legislation and standards will affect our industry.

The AMCA is excited about this year’s event and we are eagerly anticipating the 2016 ARBS Industry Awards presentation dinner. This year we are pleased to announce that Mr Neil Marshall will be inducted into the ARBS Hall of Fame 2016, recognising his significant contribution and excellence to our industry. The AMCA is also proud to announce that the work undertaken in partnership with AMCA and Box Hill Institute – the Refrigeration and Climate Control Centre of Excellence (RCCC) has been nominated as a finalist for the Outstanding Industry Education/ Training Award (Visit Stand 781).

Partnerships are so important to our industry. This year, in partnership with the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Equipment Manufacturers Association of Australia (AREMA) and ARBS, we announced the inaugural Industry Education Trade Scholarship.

The Industry Educational Trade Scholarship has been developed to:

• Increase the quality of trained tradespeople in the ARBS stakeholder industries.

• Support students who have demonstrated an aptitude to successfully complete their trade training.

• Support positive attitude and application in the workplace and in off the job training.

• Support professional development of teachers.

Announcements of the winning five students and five teachers will be announced during the ARBS exhibition.

In keeping up with the theme of ensuring we undertake activities that showcase our future ambassadors of the future, the AMCA, in partnership with Skills One TV will be producing a series of interviews with apprentices to be undertaken at our stand.

Each day in the afternoon AMCA Presidents and Executive Directors from our federated organisations and national office will be at our stand to discuss key initiatives and plans for 2016. We encourage members and non-members to visit to understand how the AMCA is focussed on improving your business environment and future proofing our industry.

I hope you have a wonderful time networking, sharing new ideas with your colleagues and understanding how the AMCA is here to support your organisation in the future. I look forward to seeing you at our Stand 114.
