PLTW ~ Engineering

Project Lead the Way is a series of courses that are offered nationwide to promote careers in engineering and connect math and science courses to technology in a more high-tech project-oriented environment.

This series of classes is designed around the use of a computer in engineering products, solving problems and developing skills in engineering communication.

Page 27: Columbia City High School Transition from 8 th to 9 th Grade

PLTW ~ Engineering

If you are working toward a Core 40 Diploma, or an Academic Honors Diploma or a Technical Honors Diploma, these courses will count as directed electives.

If your son or daughter is interested in Introduction to Engineering Design, the first course, he or she should schedule the class during the upcoming counselor scheduling sessions. It is a (Two) Trimester Course.

It is recommended that students begin the program during their freshmen year so that they will have an opportunity to take as many Project Lead the Way courses as they wish throughout their high school career.
