1.0 Introduction

The Village 5 Sudent Representative of Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS are organizing Colour Fiesta for the September 2014 semester. The V5SR Colour Fiesta program is an internal event for all UTP students to create an event that would be done anually and be a symbol event for Village 5. This event is held to stimulate integrity between different ethnicities in Malaysia as well as students from abroad as international students in Village 5 would also be involved. Besides that, it is also to provide new infrastructure to further enhance the image of Village 5 and to promote the multitude of facilities situated in Village 5. Other than that, this program would provide an alternative for students to achieve relaxation and also to add some social activities in their lives.If this program is done correctly, all the participants will strengthen bonds and gain trust with one another. The participants will also have awareness about the facilities available in Village 5. Furthermore, the participants can have safe and controlled environment in entertainment and relaxation activities. The participants will also get their chances to show their talents in painting and sports. Besides, we also hope this program provides a second purpose which is to strengthen the bonds between V5SR members themselves. This is because they will have to work side by side for future events. To conclude, this event is very important for the internal and external structure of V5SR and we hope that it will be approved.

2.0 Objectives

The objectives of this event are: .1. To create a High Impact Program to promote V5SR.2. To promote the multitude of facilities and services V5 have to offer.3. To add infrastructure in the form of decoration to enhance the image of Village 5.4. As a platform for the V5SR members and fellows to get know each other and strengthen the foundation that bonds the members.5. To gain income for V5SR members.6. To nurture sportsmanship among UTP students as part of thier soft skills.

7. To teach students the importance between academic and physical activities.

3.0 Organizer

3.1 Job Scope HIGH COMMITEE

Project Manager Head of the project. To conduct the whole project and manage the high committees and executive commitees. To inform and manage the job scope of each commitee. To lead all desicion and actions taken upon the project.

Assistant Project Manager Helps in the general flow of the project. Helps in gathering the material for the project.

Secretary To provide the whole documentation of the project. To help the Project Manager and upon realizing the project.

Treasurer Helps in controlling whole budget for the overall project. Handles the flow of money throughout the event, as well as the fees posed on the booths.

6.0 List of Activities

The activities that will be conducted during Colour Fiesta are :1. Colour Fiesta Decoration

Decorations such as the umbrella canopy and street art which would be a permanent addition to the decoration and infrastructure of Village 5. 2. Street Art Competition Students would be given the chance to express their creativity by doing street arts and mural all throughout Village 5. Contestant will submit their designs to be analyzed by the committee and Residential Office representative to ensure it would be appropriate and in theme with the event. They would then be allowed to continue with their design after the approval.

3. Siesta Fiesta

An event for students to engage in relaxing activities besides bringing the crowd to Village 5 to further promote the facilities in Village 5. Activities involved is kite flying, giant bubble, lanterns and vendors would be called to sell snacks and drinks. There would also be mini games organized by the Colour Fiesta comitee.

4. Rainbow Run

A marathon held following the theme of colors. Participants will be thrown dyed flour in each checkpoint. Winners would be given medals and certificate.

5. SportsTournament

Basketball,frisbee, ping pong and carom tournament. The sports tournament would be start two days in advance.

6. Treasure Hunt

Treasure hunt held inside UTP. Based on the theme of colours. 4-5 checkpoints are to be placed throughout UTP with challenges in relations with information in Village 5.

7. Colour Burst Competition

Students have to take pitcures based on colours assigned for each of the day. Submission will be done through social media to help promote the event. 30 pitcures would be shortlisted under meeting of committee and the final winner would be chosen under the advice of experts.

9.0 Organizers Responsibilities

. The organizer will be responsible in constructing the event as well as managing its flow and to supervise the participants involved. The organizer also will be responsible upon the documentations of all documents for the event after the event has ended.

10.0 Conclusion

The Colour Fiesta is aimed to introduce the traditional culture and lifestyle of Malaysians to the students. It is also hoped to be the best event in promoting the V5SR organization and events among UTP students and embark their participations to the organized activities. The organizing committees of this event is in great hope to get the full support and endorsement from the univeristy as this project will give both mutual benefits to the committee members as well as the society of Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS. The endorsement and approval by the university are expected with most welcomed appreciation from V5SR committe.
