¡Fiesta!Daniel Mier Salinas

ConceptThe first idea for this mobile was the word “tranquility” so I sketched with curves and organic forms to bring my own vision of tranquility to life, but as I began to work on it, a bunch of different new ideas changed the project into a whole new concept.

The main factor that made me change the original word, was the process of coloring the model, because I went for a more playful and experimental way rather than just using white and blue.

The new word is “Party” and I think my mobile really portrays the movement, the joy and the life that makes a party possible.

What did I learn in the workshop?Working with someone like Kozo Sato made me achieve a goal from a solid foundation and made me see that changing your original idea is not bad at all.

I also got to see that taking advise from someone with experience and from my classmates is equally valuable.
