Principal’s Report

Staffing News

It is with great delight that I announce to the school community that Jutta Burgstahler will be on staff at Cockatoo Primary School next year. I

have had numerous discussions with departmental staff about retaining Jutta as a member of staff and, at the final hour, the decision to move

Jutta was reversed. We are very lucky to have such an experienced teacher as Jutta on staff. She will continue to share her wisdom and offer a

very calm environment to maximise the learning of the students under her care.

Last Tuesday Sarah Abraham, Shane Pearton, Meredith Smith and I interviewed teachers who applied for a position at our school. We are very

pleased to announce that Alice Miliani will be teaching grade ½ during 2018. The panel was very impressed with her and we are very confident

that Alice will be an outstanding addition to our staff.

Carols Night

Wasn’t this the BEST night ever!!! The children smashed out their performances, sang their hearts out, and danced until they almost dropped!

The sunshine was unrelenting and consequently the evening was very warm, however, the spirit of Christmas prevailed and we all coped with

the heat!

The PFA did an outstanding job preparing and serving the food for the evening – thank you so very much!

A further thank you to everybody – parents, family members, teachers and our amazing students for making the night such a success.

another child's jumper during the course of the year. Check

inside the arms and at the bottom/back of the jumpers for
