Work Instruction KAH1 - THL - Create Cost Element Group
Purpose
Use this procedure to create cost element group. Cost Element Group is a combination of similar cost elements. Cost element groups can be used to create reports or process several cost elements in one business transaction. In U2K2, different cost element groups are used to facilitate cost allocation and reporting. These are the following:
Production Splitting Structure
Cost Center Assessment
Profitability Analysis Assessment
Internal Order Settlement
Trigger
Perform this procedure when there is a need to create Cost Element Group.

Controlling Area
R Organizational unit within a company, used to represent a closed system for cost accounting purposes. A controlling area may include single or multiple company codes that may use different currencies. These company codes must use the same operative chart of accounts.All internal allocations refer exclusively to objects in the same controlling area. Example: TH01
