New faces: Ms. Dulak We asked Ms. Dulak why she likes to teach. She said, “ I love to see the spark in a child’s eye.” She loves to see students understand and grasp the work that she gives them. Ms. Dulak knew that she wanted to be a teacher when she was in 7th grade. She had a teacher who inspired her to become a teacher. Ms. Dulak was inspired by because by the way her teacher worked with kids and taught them. This is Ms. Dulak’s first year of teaching overall, but she did have a part time job at the Pittsburgh zoo working with kids and teaching them about the zoo and animals. Finally, we asked Ms. Dulak a fun question. What is your favorite animal? She responded that she loves all animals. Thank you for coming to CMS Ms. Dulak and welcome!

PUNS & JOKES Yesterday I accidentally swallowed some food coloring. The doctor says I'm OK, but I feel like I've dyed a little inside. When William joined the Army he disliked the phrase 'fire at will'. I once heard a joke about amnesia, but I forgot how it goes. Why does the nun walk in circles? She’s a Roamin’ Catholic. My girlfriend says I’m nosy, or at least, she said so in her diary.

Book of the Month

After looking for a book for boys and a book for girls, now we have one perfect for anyone! The book we are talking about is Wake Up Missing by Kate Messner. This book takes you with Quentin, Sarah, Ben, and Cat, four very different kids with different backgrounds and only one thing in common, head injuries. The same head injuries that landed them in an elite brain-science center where they all met. As days pass they start to notice “strange side effects and unexplained changes.” Could there be something going on? Find it in the CMS library!

The Milky Way, is towed along

Its center conveyed, by nature's song

The flux lines strum, as they pass by

A radio hum, an electrical sigh

And so it be, with our own sun

By magnetic sea, its field is spun

The axial spin, then thus does tow

It's satellites in an induction row

The best conductors turn fairly fast

While the resistors last with the past Lines of force roll round the outside

Because the course is too dense inside

When the field of the planet is low

It tends to yield all turning flow

If more than one set of poles it has

It will turn yet, but less as lines pass

Welcome, Mr. Milton Last year’s guidance counselor, Mr.

Stauffer, is now retired and now we are welcoming a new guidance counselor, Mr. Milton. We interviewed him so you can learn a little more about him. So far Mr. Milton has worked at HHS, and he absolutely loves what he does. He is also very excited to meet everyone and get to know a little more about CMS. Mr. Milton has worked in the guidance department for three years, always as a counselor. He has never worked in any other schools, other than HHS and CMS. When he was a kid he didn’t know what to do, it wasn’t until he helped refugees in Kenya that he knew he wanted to become a guidance counselor.

A Meme is a humorous image, video, piece of text, etc. that is copied (often with slight variations) and spread rapidly by Internet users.

Pepe is a popular meme that has recently spread like wildfire on the internet. It was, at first, just the normal Pepe or “Sad Frog Meme,” but then with the help of programs, artists created other versions of Pepe, like the one used in this edition of the Middle Pages. After some minor edits, Pepe was growing faster than almost all other memes. Because of many, many edits to Pepe, the ever elusive Rare Pepe was born. The Rare Pepe refers to an image of Pepe that is unique and not very well known or widely used.
