Library ClubsPoetry Club Anime Club

First FridayOur Japanese culture club meetings are al-

ways a lot of fun! We screen anime, learn

origami, try Japanese snacks, talk about our

favorite manga, have cosplay events and

attend 'Animazement' in Raleigh!Help promote reading and the library! Plan

fun programs like lock-ins, help choose

which books the library will get, put on pup-

pet shows for preschool story time, and host

Monday Matinees. This clubs offers oppor-

tunitieS for leadership roles to people who

love books.

2nd & 4th FridaysTeen Library Council

Explore the world of poetry at your own comfortlevel. listen to what others have written, readyour work or favorite poems quietly or read Outloud, poetry-slam style! This club explores thewritten word in a non-judgmental environment.We'll also be co-hosting open mike nights andplanning a trip to a poetry convention, as wellas hosting a visiting poet.

Gaming Group

3rd FridayThis informal group meets in the young

adult room for board games, Pokemon & Yu-

Gi-Oh card exchange and battles, and the

occasional video game. This year, we'll also

be in charge of planning National Gaming

Day event at the Pamlico Library on Novem-

ber 12th.
