Melvin Hayes Celebrates 25 Year Anniversary as Fulltime Employee with Nestle Dreyer’s Melvin Hayes was the first BARC Client in Kern County to be hired by a local business, which took place 25 years ago in 1989. The Californian covered this wonderful story then. In 2005, The Californian did a follow- up story on Melvin’s progress as an employee for Nestle Dreyer’s, sharing how Melvin hadn’t missed a single day of work in sixteen years. On Tuesday, August 5th Melvin celebrated his 25th Anniversary with the Nestle Dreyer’s organization and to this date, continues to have per- fect attendance. Many of his co-workers and several supervisors joined the cele- bration on Tuesday and shared many kind words about what it was like to work with Melvin and how he has a special way of making everyone smile. Congratulations Melvin! We wish you many more years to come! 2014 Dreyer’s Zero Waste Celebration Friday, August 22nd - 11:00 am to 2:00 pm! Be sure to come out to the patio for pizza, ice cream and ice cold beverages to celebrate the 4th Anniversary of this incredible partnership!

Melvin Hayes Celebrates 25 Year Anniversary as Fulltime

Last month the ARC Council had a summer dance that was

full of fun, food and dancing. Some of the attendees even

saw how “low they could go” at the limbo. The ARC Council

wishes to thank every one that made the event a success!
