Dear Resident SITE INVESTIGATION NIGHT WORKS: TUESDAY 15 MARCH UNTIL FRIDAY 18 MARCH 2016 We are writing to inform you about service location and property boundary survey works that will shortly take place as part of the Webb Dock Access improvements project. As you may be aware, Transurban and the Victorian Government are working together to develop and deliver the $5.5 billion Western Distributor Project, which is now in the planning and development stage. Preliminary work on Webb Dock Access improvements are beginning as the first component of the Western Distributor Project to get underway, with works being undertaken and delivered in conjunction with the CityLink Tulla Widening project, which involves adding lanes and other measures to improve the flow of traffic across the 24 kilometre section of freeway from the CityLink tunnels to Melbourne Airport. Webb Dock Access improvements will include the following works: An upgrade and signal improvements to the Cook Street/Salmon Street intersection and; A new lane from Cook Street to Bolte Bridge ramp, providing direct access to freight heading north A longer and wider exit ramp providing more capacity to enable ramp metering A new ramp being built with a gentler curve to reduce the risk of truck roll overs The works will be undertaken by CPB Contractors – Transurban’s construction contractor on the CityLink Tulla Widening project. We are writing to inform you about service location and property boundary survey works that will shortly take place as part of the Webb Dock Access improvements project.

The works will be undertaken by CPB Contractors – Transurban’s construction contractor on the CityLink Tulla Widening project. What we are doingWe will be confirming property boundaries, collecting information about ground conditions and locating underground services in the area. This will involve:

Using a specialised vacuum truck (non-destructive digging truck) to safely uncover underground pipes and services

Using a small excavator and drill to collect soil samples Recording the location of services Backfilling and reinstating our work areas.
