GENERAL GOVERNMENT 433 Lamarque St. (Structure and Parking)Scope: Preserve/Improve historically significant structure for use as toilet rooms,  improve grassed area used for parking.

Status: PLANNINGAlternate schemes for treatment of structure under evaluation; parking to follow that decision.

Scope: Structural repair and addition of fire suppression system to historically significant structure.

Scope: City to provide in‐kind match to USACE performed economic analysis of lakefront flood protection options presented in 2014 GEC report.

Status: STUDYUSACE has selected the study scope for $100K in federal funding under Assistance to States program.

Scope: DOTD Transportation Enhancement grant project for 10’ wide path from Shadows Subdivision to Moore’s Rd.

Status: PLANNED (GRANT AWARDED)Council authorization for grant acceptance and design contract required.

STREET & DRAINAGEFlorida St. Study & Engineering

Scope: Widen Florida St. Extension between N. Causeway and W. Causeway to add westbound lane.

Status: DESIGNPreliminary design submittal expected this month, coordination will then begin with GNOEC and landowners.

STREET & DRAINAGEUS 190 – LA 22 Engineering

Scope: Construct additional turning lanes to mainline highway, ramps, and service roads to lessen delays.

Status: PLANNING Accepted into DOTD Urban Systems program (80% Federal funding), Council authorization for design contract is required.

Scope: Construct drainage improvements and pavement treatment at Jefferson St. & Claiborne St., resurface Girod St. from Monroe St. to Lakeshore Dr.

Status: CONSTRUCTION Resurface of Girod St. is complete, intersection work to begin after Mardi Gras.

Scope: Combination of asphalt pavement overlay, concrete pavement repair, and light drainage improvements.

Status: CONSTRUCTION Executed under the various roadway maintenance contract task orders authorized by the Council.

Scope: Repair and reshape failing drainage canal banks, repair undermined concrete paving.

Scope: Replace two 54” metal culverts between Lafayette St. and west branch of Ravine au Coquille.

Scope: Install check valves on storm drain pipe outfalls to Lake Pontchartrain at seawall.

SEWERLPBF Design of Assimilation Pipeline Extension

Scope: Investigate to determine ultimate marsh assimilation capacity, pipeline geometric & regulatory constraints, and design first phase of extension.

Status: DESIGNMarsh hydrology and pipeline alignment under study.  Completion expected in mid‐2016 (ecological data collection tracks vegetative growth over that period).

SEWERSanitary Sewer Evaluation Study (SSES)Scope: Investigate sanitary wastewater collection and pumping system condition, and determine repair/rehabilitation requirements.

Status: STUDYExecuted through various task orders for flow monitoring, smoke testing, and CCTV.

Scope: Replace undersized and aging self‐priming lift station serving Weldon Park subdivision with submersible station.

Status: CONSTRUCTIONWet well has been installed, construction completion anticipated in September.

Scope: Consolidate LS 20 & 21 with single new LS 21, sized to accept wastewater from converted Parish WWTP in Madisonville. 

Status: CONSTRUCTIONContractor is mobilizing to begin work, completion expected in September.

Scope: Convert self priming lift stations to submersible style, update aging electrical/mechanical equipment.
