Structure and Circulation
The Cite de Refuge is a reinforced concrete structure. Le Corbusier used concrete in many of his buildings as he saw it to be a material that reflected modern ideas of industry. The cir-culation for the building was very simple with only one grand staircase for the whole building and one hall that connects the staricase horizontaly to the programs of the large horizontaly to the programs of the large rectangular block.
