ANALYZE THE LEARNER
I will be teaching different aspects of weather to a class of 16 first graders. There are 10 girls and 6 boys in the class. The class is 80% white, 10% African-American, and 10% Hispanic. There are three student who have mild ADD.
MAIN OBJECTIVE
Students will describe the different components of weather taught after looking at posters, singing songs, doing hands on projects, and watching videos by the end of the week with 80% accuracy.
DAY BY DAY BREAKDOWN
Day 1- Students will learn about what weather is and make a chart of words about weather.
Day 2- Students will learn about the 4 different types of clouds.
Day 3- Students will learn about temperature and how to find out the temperature outside.
Day 4- Students will learn about the different types of precipitation.
Day 5- Students will learn the colors of the rainbow.
