Series Theme: In a new year, we may have a lot of things we want to change in our lives and in the world around us. This series focuses on our baptismal covenant and the vow we make to "Accept the freedom and power God gives us to resist evil, injustice, and oppression in whatever forms they present themselves."

First Sunday: Even with great goals, little will change in our lives or world if we don't accept the freedom and power that we DO have. This sermon focuses on the first part of our baptismal vow "Do you accept the freedom and power God gives you?" by weaving together the gifts of the magi to Jesus. After they deliver the gifts, they are warned in a dream to go home by another road and they accept the gift of power they have and do so, keeping Jesus safe from Herod at that time.

This session we will be doing Yang 14, a short Yang Style Tai Chi routine of just 14 movements. We have done this one before and the general con-sensus is all would like to revisit it. We will also be revisiting Qigong Shibashi 1. CHUM’s Meet & Greet in the Parlor CHUM’s Women's Group is organizing a campaign to see that the Meet and Greet snacks are covered each and every Sunday of 2020. The different organizations within the church will be contacted to encourage participation by signing up now for three Sundays through out the upcoming year. That is all it should take. What is needed is for someone from these organizations to go to the office and write your group down on an open Sunday. If you are not a part of an organization but wish to host a Meet & Greet, contact Debbie Snell in the church office and she will help you get on the schedule! Sign up sheets for 2020 are now available in the church office window. Quarter Pole Donations Blessing Box Donations The Quarter Pole is located in the church office on the volunteer’s desk. When you have a few extra quarters in your purse or pocket you are invited to drop them in the pole. The money we raise will be used for our beautiful Trinity Garden and to help with the Community Garden. Donations may be brought to the church office to be used in the Blessing Box located in the north parking lot next to the playground. It is used by many that walk or travel through our neighborhood.
