Deacon Tom O’Connor 25th Anniversary of
Ordination to the Diaconate
Congratulations to Deacon Tom O’Connor on his 25th year of Ordination to the Diaconate. He was ordained a deacon on May 21, 1994 at St. Agnes Cathedral in Rockville Centre.
Deacon Tom, Mary Ann and their family have been a very important part of Good Shepherd and touched the lives of many through their love for our parish and God’s people.
Please come celebrate with Deacon Tom this Sunday, June 9th at the 12Noon Mass. A reception will follow in Fellowship Hall.

If all 300 tickets are sold the prizes will be
listed as above. If less than 300 tickets have
been sold by 8/31/19, the prize fund, equal to
50% of the ticket receipts, will be divided in the
proportions listed above to yield nine prizes.
Tickets will be on sale at the
Main Office during office
hours. We will have tickets
sold after Masses at a later
date.
Only 300 Tickets will be
sold at $100 each.
Prize winners will share
50% of the proceeds and the
other 50% will go to parish
programs and the upkeep of
our parish’s increasing costs
to maintain our church
building.

The Peanut Butter & Jelly Gang -
The Peanut Butter & Jelly Gang will be meeting on June 29th.
We begin at 8:30. This will be the last meeting of the Peanut Butter & Jelly Gang until
we begin again in September. Our mission is to serve those in need and provide an opportu-
nity for others to serve. For our sandwiches, we need donations of-

Jars of Jelly
If you come to volunteer, bring one loaf of white or wheat bread with you.
You may drop your donations off at church or bring them with you. Please label them for the PB&J
Gang.
Please note that ALL volunteers must wear some type of head covering; a baseball cap is
fine.
On June 1st we made 460 sandwiches and 100 wash-up kits!
A special thank you to the Good Shepherd Knights of Columbus # 8607 for their support and
generous donation. The PB&J Gang was able to purchase 4,000 bars of soap for our wash-up kits.
Senior Group - June birthdays will be celebrated by Joanne S. 6/1, Millie B. 6/4, Vallerie M. 6/4, Rose B. 6/5, Phyllis M. 6/13, Lee T. 6/15, Justine K. 6/15, Helen D. 6/19, Jim S. 6/23, Fran T. 6/23 and Johanna C. 6/28.
