Ascension & St. Bernard Altar Server Training/Review

All boys and girls ages 8 & older, grades 3-12th are invited to Altar Server training 9-11AM Saturday, January 28th AT ASCENSION or Saturday, February 18th AT ST. BERNARD. We are reworking Altar Server duties so that serving is the same (for the most part) at both Ascension and St. Bernard. THERE-FORE, WE ASK THAT ALL CURRENT SERVERS AND THOSE WHO DESIRE TO BECOME SERV-ERS ATTEND. Since the training will be the same, students from either parish can attend either of the training sessions. See 1/15/17 bulletin for full details.

Prenatal Partners for Life HOPE

Our mission at Prenatal Partners for Life is to provide families expec ng a special needs child the support, in-forma on and encouragement they need to make in-formed decisions involving their child’s care.

New prenatal tes ng and modern technology have made it possible to know more about our babies before birth than ever before.

When the results of these tests are not posi ve, anxious parents are faced with uncertainty about the decisions they have to make.

We believe that every life is a precious gi from God and that each child has a special purpose. We promise to provide truthful, prac cal informa on by linking ex-pectant parents with other parents who have faced a similar diagnosis.

You want to carry your baby to term, but wonder how. You are not alone!

We offer support, informa on and encouragement by connec ng parents facing an adverse diagnosis with oth-er parents who have had the same or a similar diagno-sis.

Ps 139:13-14 “You formed my inmost being, you knit me in my mother’s womb. I praise you, so wonderful you made me; wonderful are your works!”

Prenatal Partners for Life is made up of compassionate parents with special needs children as well as medical professionals, legal professionals and clergy. We also have resources such as adop on agencies with loving families wai ng to adopt and nurture a special needs child, if the parents decide that they cannot care for the child. No parents expect to receive unhappy news about their unborn child. The shock, sadness, and feelings of isola-

on and loneliness can be intense. The hopes and dreams you’ve had for your child abruptly change. The future is full of uncertainty.

Prenatal Partners for Life will connect you with resources and with other parents who understand and empathize with what you are going through. We offer you our en-couragement, guidance and ongoing support. Con nued in the column to the right. > > > > > >

< < < < < < <Con nued from the column on the le .

Expec ng or paren ng a special needs child is much less frightening when you have the support of someone who has been on the same journey.

Prenatal Partners for Life believes in suppor ng and re-spec ng all human life from the moment of concep on un l natural death, regardless of disability or illness. We oppose the direct taking of innocent life, whether through abor on or euthanasia. We believe every per-son, regardless of disability or illness, has a right to medi-cal care and should not be impeded by discrimina-

on. We believe that all parents of ill or disabled chil-dren deserve our compassion and long-term support.
