Every child in our Christ the King school family is equally valued and nurtured. We work hard to ensure each pupil reaches his or her full potential. We believe that our school environment is an inspiring and great place to be: a place where there are many opportunities to learn.

We hope that this prospectus captures a flavour of our school. However, we welcome and encourage you to visit us in order to fully appreciate what we have to offer.

“It is a happy and exceptionally caring school and pupils feel safe and very well supported because of the high quality of

personal care provided.”

Ofsted Report

“Every parent wants their child to be as happy at school as they are at home.

We want that too. We are small enough to make each child an individual in

a caring family.”

The individuality of each child is very important to us and inclusion is deeply embedded in the heart of our school. We strive to instil our pupils with the qualities of caring, tolerance and co-operation.

We work hard to involve parents & carers in all areas of school life and to develop firm links between home and school.

“The School is a real community where the children’s differences in culture and

background are highly valued.”Ofsted Report

We pride ourselves in the quality of our foundation stage provision and work hard to give all pupils the best possible start to their education journey in the Reception class.

A varied creative curriculum is offered across all year groups which links subjects and makes learning meaningful and enjoyable. This is delivered by our dedicated, skilled and caring teachers who are effectively supported by our team of trained teaching assistants who enhance our ability to provide personalised learning.

Our vision is for all of our children to become independent learners within a Christ-centred environment and to be confident and enthusiastic young people living God’s gift of life to the full.

Being part of the local community is very important to the school and we aim to help the children understand the diverse community in which they live both locally and in the wider world. The Christian ethos of caring for each other and the world around us is promoted and celebrated throughout the school at all times.

“This is a wonderful school, where everyone is made to feel welcome. Children of all years play together and there is such a

happy atmosphere.“ Parent

During their journey at Christ the Kingeach child will take on new challenges and develop into a caring and confident young person who enjoys learning, knows how to help others and how to stay healthy and safe.

We have effective partnerships with our local secondary school - The Castle School - and strive to ensure that children leave us well-equipped and able to use their life-skills to meet the challenges of an ever changing & technological world.
