LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION A prospective godparent or sponsor needs some evidence that he/she is an active, contributing member of the parish and leads a life in harmony with the Catholic Faith. We can only give such testimony to those who are actually parish members.

Note from the Pastor I am most grateful to so many parishioners who have already made a pledge toward the Upon This Rock Campaign. We have achieved a bit more than 100% of our parish goal of $465,000! Our parish will receive 35% of these pledges for use locally. All pledges received from now on will net 55% for our church.

Our Apology Due to circumstances beyond our control, there are two special appeals today. One is for The Christmas Basket Project and the other is for the Campaign for Human Development. You may place both special envelopes in the second collection.
-The Christmas Basket Project responds to
area needs at Christmas time. For many years, our parish has distributed Christmas Baskets and gifts to area families depending on their specific situation. If you want to help but did not come prepared to make your donation today, you may place your gift in next week’s collection. Thank you in advance.
-Campaign for Human Development is a
national effort on the part of the United States Bishops to help eliminate the root causes of poverty and encourage self-sufficiency within our nation. Please give what you can.
The Light is On for You Our Bishop has requested that each parish schedule an additional opportunity for Confession during each week of Advent. At this parish there will be confessions each Advent Sunday Evening from 6 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. This will also allow parishioners to attend Advent Evening Prayer (Sundays at 6:30 p.m.) afterwards.
Religious Education Schedule Parents; keep in mind that although religion classes are normally held each Sunday morning when public school is in session, there are a few exceptions. There will be no classes next Sunday, November 27, or on Sunday December 4
th. However there will be class on Sunday,
December 11th
, the last class before Christmas break.

Tickets for the Parish Drawing We have sold just over half of the tickets for the Parish ten month drawing beginning Dec. 20
th. Two cash prizes

Advent Vespers at CKS. Christ the King Seminary will host its annual Advent vespers service on the second Sunday of Advent, Sunday, Dec. 4
th, at 4 p.m. in the seminary’s Chapel.
