If You Are Sick And Cannot Go to Mass . . .If You Are Sick And Cannot Go to Mass . . .With the spread of the coronavirus and the enhanced consciousness of the potential dangers ofcommunicable diseases, Archbishop Jackels has encouraged all parishes to "reassure the faithfulthat if they are sick or are experiencing symptoms of sickness they are not obliged to attend Mass,and even that out of charity they ought not to attend.”
If you find yourself uncertain as to whether or not to go to Mass, we would encourage you to err tothe side of caution. While it is not a substitute for attending Mass, watching Mass on TV, online orlistening to Mass on the radio are good ways to stay connected with the liturgy when you are sickand do not have the option of attending in person. When you are ill and cannot attend Mass you may not be able to make a sacramentalcommunion, however, you can still pray for God to grant you a spiritual communion by using thefollowing or a similar prayer:

The serviceprojects can include the following: Rebuilding Decks, Kitchen Remodeling, BuildingAccess Ramps, painting, and general repairs.
