when misused, can have

land, animals, and residents of a

LIFE Program
Project leaders work in cooperation
with DEP’s LIFE program (Learning
in Florida’s Environment), an
initiative
to establish a series of field-based,
environmental-science education
programs around the state.

The Chipola Area Ground Water
Outreach Project is funded by a
grant from the Florida Department
of Environmental Protection and
managed by Chipola Science
Department faculty with Chipola
staff support.

work closely with Project Manager
Vicki Mathis and the Chipola
Science Department instructors to
guide the project toward educating
our youth on the importance of
ground water and the impact of
ground water quality on our lives.

In an effort to publicize the Ground Water Outreach Project, Chipola instructors and staff produce a newsletter periodically and maintain a web presence on the Chipola website.
