The current efficiency in NH 3 production on hydrogen storage alloy electrodes is influenced by a series of factors. The electrolysis on the fully hydrided electrode in the 0.5 M KOH + 0.05 M KNO 3 solution produces NH 3 with a current efficiency of 90% at -1.2 V vs. SCE. It is found that the dissolved H 2 in the alloy electrode can directly participate in the reduction process and enhance the catalytic activity of the electrode. — (LU, CHUN; LU, SHIGANG; QIU, WEIHUA; LIU, QINGGUO; Electrochim.
