PUTTING PEOPLE
After years of Labour rule, your local
Conservatives have ensured that finally,
Chadderton taxpayers will have a reprieve, as
Council Tax will be frozen for 2011/12.
As part of Putting People First, Chadderton
children will be benefitting from money
donated by Eileen Hulme for St Lukes and
Christ Church C of E Schools.
The money will be used towards the exciting
development of natural play areas and
appropriate equipment. This will enable
children to enjoy and explore the natural world
whilst developing their knowledge about
habitats and wildlife.
Eileen said “ Health and well being is
important and this kind of investment is needed
for the children of Chadderton especially when
children are becoming less aware of the
environment around them”. Eileen Hulme: Putting People First!

EILEEN HULME: WORK BEGINS ON CROSSLEY
Eileen Hulme and John Hudson would like to thank the residents of Crossley for their patience with the delays involved in the housing stock transfer which was successfully concluded on Monday 7th February 2011.
The stock transfer heralds a new era for First Choice Homes Residents and Tenants with millions of pounds worth of investment going into properties which would not have been possible had the organisation stayed within control of Oldham Council.
It was a long hard battle to bring this to a successful conclusion, even up until the end your LABOUR Councillors and Member of Parliament were doing their utmost to scupper the deal.
Cllr Eileen Hulme said “Work can now start on the installation of much needed new bathrooms, kitchens and rewiring. This is not just a short term measure but an initial 30 YEAR commitment to residents and tenants of Crossley”.
CONSERVATIVES FREEZE COUNCIL TAX FOR CHADDERTON

Conservative Team Deliver on a campaign Pledge to Freeze Council Tax.
After years of Labour rule, your local
Conservatives have ensured that finally
Council Tax will be frozen for 2011/12. Under
Labour we saw Council tax rates double
meaning hard pressed Chadderton taxpayers
were constantly being squeezed.
The plans, designed to help families with the
rising cost of living and encourage Oldham
Council to be more efficient, will save a typical
household around £70.
Eileen Hulme said “A rise in Council tax this
year would have hit the poorest hardest. For a
typical pensioner, a third of the increase in
their basic state pension would have been
eaten up in higher council tax”.
Eileen Hulme and John Hudson are continuing to work towards improving the safety of school children coming to and going from school.
John Hudson said “parking has become a real issue outside schools in Chadderton. The problem is that the selfish action of a minority is endangering the lives of children. We will continue fighting for improvements”.
