CFMC CHAIR From October 2003 to August 2011

EUGENIO PIÑEIRO-SOLER

EUGENIO PIÑEIRO-SOLER, better known as Geño, was designated to the Caribbean Fishery Management Council in 2002; and elected Chair of the CFMC in 2003.

He has served diligently and lead the Council for eight (8) years.

Among other activities, Geño participated at ICCAT meetings with Dr. Hogarth, the Marine Mammal Commission, and also at the Marine Protected Areas Federal Advisory Committee, 2010 Chairman.

His term at the Council has been very productive, and today we do not say goodbye, just “See you soon, Geño!, we sure will miss you. “

CFMC Chair, Lawyer, fisherman, leader among fishers, and exemplary citizen.
