CERTIFICATE IN AGED CARE WORK
Overview
Upon successful completion of all the modules,
trainees will be able to carry out activities
related to the maintenance of the elderly’s
health, providing personal care and supporting
them to engage in activities of daily living. With
this certification, trainees can look into career
opportunities in Aged Care, including as a Care
Worker, Nursing Assistant, or Community
House Worker.
Course Learning Objectives
The Certificate III in Aged Care introduces trainees
to new insights into the process of growing old,
helping you replace the stereotypical thinking
about ageing with a positive view of ageing
gracefully. Be equipped with the skills to handle
the social, physical and psychological well-being
of the elderly.
There are a total of 15 modules
in this programme - one elective
module offered by MENDAKI
SENSE and 14 modules (core)
offered by CSM Academy
International Pte Ltd (CSM).
Components
Overall, there are 626 training
hours, comprising of 16 training
hours by SENSE and 610
training hours by CSM.
Trainees have the option to
enroll for full-time: 6 months
(5-hour lessons/day, 5 days/
week) or part-time: 12 months
(3-hour lessons/day, 3 days/
week) training.

Upon completion of each MENDAKI
SENSE module, a Statement of
Attainment (SOA) will be awarded
by Skillsfuture Singapore (SSG)
under the Singapore Workforce
Skills Qualifications (WSQ).
To be awarded the Certificate III in
Aged Care and conferred by the
CSM Academy International Pte
Ltd, trainees must complete and
be competent in all 14 modules
(offered by CSM).
Local students must achieve an
attendance of 75% and international
students must achieve an attendance
of 90% in any month of the course.
Accreditation
Trainees should have at least a C6
at Secondary 2 Level in any three
subjects (including English
Language), or equivalent.

Local Student: S$53.50 International Student: S$642.00
(Non-Refundable and non-transferrable).

There are a total of 14 modules have to be completed for the award of
the Certificate III in Aged Care
1. The skills and knowledge imparted in the course apply to those
looking into career shift to the Healthcare Industry; or those
looking for an opportunity to update their skills to rejoin the
workforce in a care-providing sector.
2. Provides the relevant skills to be an Elderly Caregiver/Care
worker in residential facilities, who works under direct and/
or regular supervision within organizational guidelines and
service plans.
3. The participants will provide effective community care to both
elderly patients in nursing homes, as well as elderly loved
ones at home.
