1. SObjeet, born 11 November 4912, in Zekomarie, Western Ukraine, beama member of the Ukrainian Military Organisation (OVO) in 19" and upon reorgenisatlasof the latter grasp, entered into the Organisation of Mendel= Natiomalists (OUN)in 1929. He become an instructor of an illegel underground youth section of theOUN in January 1934, and upon arrest of many of the leaders of the OUff homebredexecutive eammitt•e in November 1934, Stihject use given duties as OrgenisetioeReferent. In 1935, Subject became *Weber of a nationalistic, anti-Bolsheviknevspiper of the ow" and waa arrested by the Polish government in September 1935end imprisoned for three months. Be was again arrested in July 1937 by the Polithgovernment and was released in September 1939 upon outbreak of the German-Poll&war.
