Corrosive alkaline substances
• Alkaline substances penetrate further into the eye’s tissue while acids often cause corrosive injuries on the eye’s outer parts.
• Damages caused by alkalis are often more severe and permanent.
• Seak medical attention! Rinse also during
transportation.

- Temperature

• USA: FDA Code of Federal Regulations Part 21 – at least 20 min
• Buffered Eye Wash may shorten the rinsing time needed compared to
water or saline.
